3Dexter became the only Indian company to get nominated for the 3D PRINTING AWARDS 2017 under the “Start-up of the year” category.
With a vision to bring experiential learning and innovation through their curriculum at the core of classroom teaching, 3Dexter is one of the leading companies in providing experiential learning processes at the grassroot level through 3D printing technology. Started in June 2015 in Delhi with a team of 7 people the group has now grown into a family of 28 strong educators.
A 3D printing curriculum has been designed for the schools in sync with the CBSE, IB and ICSE board to impart 3D Printing and Designing skills with proper classroom integration for the various subjects being taught to them. The core skills provided are visualisation, problem
solving, critical thinking, creativity and subject integration through physical experience. The
teachers teach designing and give hands-on experience throughout the annual curriculum. They act as added faculty to the schools and are present throughout for assistance.
The progressive curriculum caters to classes 3 to 12. The curriculum keeps changing as the
student progresses from one class to another with key emphasis laid on tactile learning and
innovation. Quarterly projects, assessment reports and competitions are conducted in the
schools to achieve the desired values. For further curriculum enhancement 3Dexter has recently partnered with companies like STAX3D, Arizona and SIGHTLINE MAPS, California.
In 2016, 3Dexter conducted the first ever 3D Printing competition in India named Dexter
Designing League. More than 60 students from different schools participated and were tested on their designing and problem solving skills.
The service model provides a whole solution around experiential learning using 3D printing as a tool. 3Dexter provides a yearlong contract with schools where every student attends 3Dexter classes every week and therefore every year the contract/agreement gets renewed.
Currently running its annual curriculum in 25+ schools across India,
3Dexter has delivered more than 80 workshops catering up to 15000 students in cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Patna.
It aims to reach at least 55 more in the year 2017-18.
